This is me normally. Slightly unfortunate since it was ab out 11 at night and I'm tired enough as it is.

Headband and astringent time. Always good to close your pores up before you do the makeup thing. Don't want pimples!

Bust out the makeup box

And the tunes. Which ended up being King Rat and Anti-Flag over and over again.

Before makeup, there is contacts, mostly so you don't cry all over yourself and ruin your job and so you don't have makeup-y hands at the end and get it all in yoru eyes.

Then its time for base! Which is Aquacolor in this greyish tone who's color number I've forgotten.

Big white mime face! White makeup takes all contouring and any sort of face shape you might have had and wipes that away. So we'll have to do something about that, since I don't enjoy my big nasty blobface.

So first step to doing that is to put some color back in my face, which seems a bit counter productive, but Alessa is quite pale, but she's not WHITE. So strategic use of powder foundation on the brow bones, nose, cheekbones and temples was employed.

Shitty bathroom lighting isn't doing me too many favors.

This is an eyeshadow palette meant to make green eyes greener, I've found it makes better bruises than making my eyes look green. So that's usually what I use this for.

Applied under the eyes and on the outside corners.

Now for the rest of the colors, the dirty greenish brown will be used for contouring and shadowing, in addition of the broken up reddish brown. The bright red will be used on the eyes only.

Darker red applied into the creases of the eyes, lower lid and a bit of contouring on the nose, since I've got a honker.

More countouring with the brown on the cheekbones (to hollow), chin and jaw line to make me a bit less square. Stupid big square head. And some bright red on the very underside of the bottom lid, which is wiped out by the terribe lighting in my bathroom.

And so finally, after drawing my eyebrows back on since they got a bit lost and doing some mild blood work and wig application, ta-da! Alessa. With the wrong shirt since I haven't made the correct one yet because I'm a lazy bitch. And I need to put more goop in the wig so its stringier and less fried.

And then me dicking around. Tada.

Also kind of OT but not really because it's cosplu-related, I'm almost done with Nill's dress. But I need to know what to do with the back before I add the zipper. Did you figure out whether it would be better to have it open-backed or close-backed because of the wings?

I didn't really do much to mask the fact that they were made out of an eviscerated umbrella, but I think with a bit of shaping to round out the skeleton with some clay and some feathers, they'd be a good shape, and they're super lightweight so its not like any harnessing you'd HAVE to do would be really hardcore and need to support like, 40 pounds.

Why do you make such attractive faces. That definitely looks doable! I'll have to find an old umbrella to play around with, but that seems like it'll work pretty well. I like the idea of just building them into the dress, too, it'd save a ton of trouble. Chances are I'll get lazy though and just attach them to Ashley's bra instead because that'd be a lot less hassle as far as construction is concerned. And that way she'd be able to wear the dress normally, because she says it's super cute and whatnot.
I'll keep you posted~!
